So you are either an ostrich or you know about this one. Numerous reports from Volt and Bolt owners have indicated that the high-voltage battery coolant radiators are being punctured by stones or other debris thrown through the lower grill of their cars. The resulting damage has been $1500+ to repair. And no, it isn't a warranty repair...   Think about that! And the surprise, inconvenience, and cost of gas while your car is down for a few days. It just isn't worth taking the chance of having a punctured radiator.

The grill on a Bolt will allow stones up to 3/4" to pass through and strike the radiator. The BoltScreen covers the grill protecting your car, and hides in the shadows. Once installed, you will forget it is there, but it will keep doing its job. It is quickly and easily installed with plastic ties and is removable anytime. Because it is on the outside of the grill, it will not trap leaves or other debris in any recesses and is easily hosed off if it becomes dirty.

The BoltScreen is made from a strong metal mesh with 1/4" holes to keep larger stones and debris from getting to the radiator and doing damage. It is powder coated for a beautiful finish, then trimmed with plastic edging.
